Our Story
When we say we’re not like most, we truly mean it. Derived from our ancestral village in Punjab, ‘Chella’ encapsulates who we are: deeply family-oriented, extending our own roots to our clients. It’s a set of values that stem from our upbringing, our journey so far, and our belief that people should come before profits.
Raised above a small corner shop in Coventry, business has always played a pivotal role in my life. With weekends spent helping my parents in the shop, with the rest of my childhood spent with a front-row view of the hard work, sacrifice, and discipline they needed to eventually acquire commercial property and residential flats, I always had a different perspective from most children. Yet, something I always noticed was the bonds we built with our tenants – the type of long-term relationships that shaped my growing mind.
Now, aged 46, I founded Chella to do just that. In fact, I wanted to create something that would be the polar opposite of my experience with the Post Office – a family-run business, made to take care of tenants, landlords, and the local community. And here we are.
